These past few days seem to have vanished so fast!

For all those who owe our J a visit, I’ve tasted her hospitality and great cooking skills. What a lovely house and garden and surroundings!!

I was having withdrawal symptoms and was told to ring him 
fabulous idea I do say. Costly, but do I care about my phone bill? Erm, to be truthful, not really.
Harry Potter was one of our main themes for the weekend. Film and book. I do admit that in spite of my prior misgivings it was enormous fun standing out on the street at midnight in a queue of Harry fans talking about the books, films, reactions, expectations and a host of silliness that came with it all.
We still managed to find the coolest joint in town and spend part of our afternoon painting a ceramic pot each which we’ll be showing off to everyman and his dog once they come home
Hey, amongst the groovy news items my fave has to be that Fabrice has got his ID and we’ve found a direct flight so he can visit me 
without holds
I am over the moon about that.
I’ll find him in frogland before then but am definitely looking forward to his visit.
I’m daily amazed at the goodness of the story I’m watching appear before my eyes. I’ve never dreamed or hoped this high or wide or deep. This is from one who’s asked for quite a lot over the years. I nod… Indeed, this is incredibly good.
I don’t even think I do much to make it be good. It just is. I’m making the best of this effort free thing, I do say.
Oh, before I forget… Work stinks. I’m not wanting to play ball at the mo: putting up with mouthy threats has just got too much and I’ve lost my desire to tolerate it. Alarm bells now ring loud and clear telling me to get out while I’m ahead. I don’t want to. It’s a very very freaky prospect. I need guidance, help, ideas, direction, whatever. I mean is this just a phase, itchy feet, a storm to weather, or is it what I think it is: time to have yet another change of working scene?? I’m officially in limbo here and my lovely marvellous colleagues aren’t enough to keep me there.

I’ve had 4 visitors today, 2 of them out of the blue. I mean, you’ve got to admit that ringing me from Ikea to say ‘Hi are you free?’ is surely well inspired. So I made a cuppa for a friend and her friend. And then just a moment ago a couple of colleagues popped in on the way home from work. They were worn out so it was a quick hi-bye visit, but still a pleasure.
Oh btw, I’ve spent most of today having to remind myself that today is not Thursday but Wednesday… Hard work. I’m still confused now.

Finally a call for assistance: I’d like to hire or borrow a longboat/barge at some point for a holiday. If any of you have ideas that are more affordable than the scary scary prices I’ve found on the internet sites I’ve checked, I’d greatly appreciate your help, contacts etc. Otherwise it might take me longer to save up for that than for a trip to Oz. I mean that would be a bit ironic, wouldn’t it now!
